Our hearts burn to see His kingdom come on earth as it is heaven. Below are some of the ways that we work together to impact our community and the world!
ALEXANDRA LIGHT PARTY
Halloween celebrates darkness; the opposite of darkness is light. Light Parties offer an alternative to Halloween and trick or treating, with a fun community event for kids and families. Light Party is a nationwide initiative held in many other communities throughout New Zealand. The Combined Churches of Alexandra have been running the Alexandra Light Party at the weekend closest to Halloween since 2015 - a completely free event for families in the community. Each year, close to 1000 people come together for family fun with side-show games, live entertainment, bouncy castles and free food. Our facebook page will give you more information: https://www.facebook.com/alexandralightparty/
VANUATU MISSION TRIPS
Alexandra has had a long relationship with the people of Vanuatu as they come to the region to work on our orchards. We love having them join our services during the fruit-picking season.
Building relationships with many them, we believe God has called us as a church to work more closely with their homeland and in particular the Island of Tanna. Alexandra Elim Church has been sending teams to Tanna since 2016 to both help practically and minister to the community in the Love and Power of Jesus Christ.
Healing Rooms is an International movement. We provide a loving, safe, confidential environment where you can come to receive healing prayer. Jesus Christ does the healing. There is no charge and no appointment is necessary.
Some people are healed instantly by a miraculous touch from God. Others receive their healing progressively over a period of days, weeks, or months. We are committed to pray for a person for as long as it takes, contending for their healing until they are completely well. We pray for physical and emotional healing to the complete person (spirit, soul and body).
Healing Rooms Alexandra run between 11am-12:30 on the 2nd and 4thWednesday of each month at our Nfapara St pemises. Contact us for more information
